The Strong Man

Men - this one is for you. Women - if your man is not doing this, then question him as to why not.


Are you willing to lay your life on the line for your family?

I firmly believe that if you asked any man, who is also a father, if they would protect their children and family from physical harm, the answer would be a resounding YES! What about a spiritual attack? I mean what are you doing to protect your family from Satan?

What? Who is Satan and how do I know that he is attacking me and my family? Well the Bible tells us that Satan is the ruler of this world:

John 12:30-31: Jesus said, "The voice didn't come for me but for you. At this moment the world is in crisis. Now Satan, the ruler of this world, will be thrown out.

Do you think that all your trials and tribulations are just natural part of life? Many marriages are presently under attack, being ripped apart, and destroyed. Why do you think your children turn rebellious as they get older? Why does everything seem to be going along just fine, then WHAM the bottom drops out? Is it all just a coincidence?

Like I have said countless times, I do not believe in coincidences. I believe that Satan is at work trying to destroy us and our families. So, are you willing to lay your life on the line for your family?

Jesus and Beelzebul

22 Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see. 23 All the people were astonished and said, “Could this be the Son of David?” 24 But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, “It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons.” 25 Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. 26 If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand? 27 And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your people drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. 28 But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. 29 “Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man’s house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can plunder his house.

Look at verse 29, "Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house." If I were going to break into your house and steal your TV, I would first have to tie you up because you're not going to sit around and watch me steal your TV. Now in order to tie you up, I would have to be stronger than you. So if I were stronger than you and tied you up, I could then take whatever I wanted from your house, including your family.

Are you now ready to protect your family from all harm? How, do you ask? First you need to turn to God and ask His help. Why do I need God's help? When you become a strong man spiritually, you will be able to protect your family from the destructive powers of the enemy. You don't even have to be with your family to be their strong man. You don't have to talk to them. The power of a strong man is power with God. It's a spiritual power which will give you authority to protect those under your care and keep them under the influence of Jesus' peace and love. The best way to start is to pray right now and ask God to make you that strong man.

Satan is the ruler of this world. The demons are his followers. They serve him. Satan's kingdom is here on earth, and he is stronger than you!  But Jesus is stronger than Satan or anyone else for that matter.

When you become a strong man spiritually, you can provide protection for your family so Satan cannot destroy your wife and children. Begin to pray that God would bind Satan and protect your family from his power and just see how strong you will become.
