Special moments...

Colton along with his parents, spent Thanksgiving eve, day and Friday with us. We had a wonderful visit and I forgot how great it is to have small children around the house. We had some special moments with him, one of which is when he got up in the morning, came and crawled into bed with us. Those 15-30 minutes of waking up are just some cuddle and a special bonding time. I want him to always remember that he can come to us at anytime to feel comfortable and loved.

Don’t you wish that you could cuddle up with someone that could offer you comfort, love and knowledge that you can do this at anytime?

This is the same as coming to God and His house. You see we are all children of God, in which we can come and spend some special times with Him. You can come to Him and cuddle knowing that He will make you feel loved and comfortable, without any guilt. He loves us just like we love our own flesh and blood. He wants you to come and cuddle with Him and spend that special time with Him.

John 14:1-3 "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

In 1993 Audio Adrenaline released Big House, big hit back in the day. In fact they won a Dove Award for the song. The chorus goes like this:

Come and go with me to my father's house.
Come and go with me to my father's house.
It's a big, big house with lots and lots of room.
A big, big table with lots and lots of food.
A big, big yard where we can play football.
A big, big house, it's my father's house.

All I know is a big, big house with rooms for everyone.
All I know is lots of land where we can play and run.

All I know is you need love, and I've got a family.
All I know is you’re all alone, why not come with me.

2 Corinthians1:3-11 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. 5For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. 6If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. 7And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort. 8We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about the hardships we suffered in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life. 9Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. 10He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, 11as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.

Please know that you can come to God, spend time with Him, and forget about your troubles and hardships. He will love you like you love your own children and grandchildren. He will comfort you, He will love you unconditionally.
