Are you trying to hide from God...

Psalm 139:1-4 O LORD, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.   You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O LORD.

Even from the beginning of mankind we have been trying to hide from God, but He knows where we are.  Adam and Eve tried to hide in the Garden of Eden, but God knew where they were.  Jonah tried to also run away from God, but a giant fish helped God retrieve him.

Are you trying to hide from God?  Why not reach out to Him and ask Him to guide and lead you.  Life is tough enough trying to get through it on our own.  But if we reach out our heart and hands to Him, He will respond.  God will grab you by the heart and lead you by the hand.

Most of us are old enough to either have children of our own or have little ones around us.  When they reach out a hand to you and ask for help, how does that make you feel?  I know for me, when my grandson reaches out for me, it melts my heart.

It is the same for God.  When we reach out and ask Him for help, He responds by the heart.

Psalm 139:23-24 Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
